Easy DIY Front Porch Christmas Planter Urn

This quick and easy Christmas Decor idea can provide a cheerful holiday welcome to your front porch. It took me about 15-20 minutes to put together. I made 2 of these, one for each side of my front door. Follow the below steps to make your own!

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Drill

Materials:

Steps:

Drill drainage holes in bottom of plastic planter
  1. Drill holes through the bottom of the planter urn (while the plants in the urn won’t be alive, if any moisture gets into the planter, you will want it to drain out) Optional: Glue to the top and bottom parts of the planter together using a hot glue gun.
  1. Apply the Ribbon bow to the planter urn using a hot glue gun
  1. Add some Great Stuff spray foam to the bottom of the planter urn
  1. Set the faux topiary into the planter, and spray more Great Stuff spray foam around the sides of the topiary base. Allow the foam to set for a few hours.
  2. Decorate the topiary with String Lights by wrapping them around the topiary. Optional: Add some fun ornaments or other decorations to the topiary.
